Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter of Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. She was raised by an aunt who worked as a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick is always a fan of dancing, singing and creating puppet shows. Her rise to fame as a fairytale began when she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6.
